Plan A

Participation in this plan is contingent upon students completing a weekly contract of at least three hours of practice a week, preferably six, 1/2 hour sessions a week. This suggested amount of time, three hours, is basically a minimum amount and those students taking longer lessons should consider longer practice sessions.

Faculty

The faculty of the ASM live in Clarence or Amherst and teach either at their home or at a nearby church. All of them have dedicated a large portion of their musical lives to teaching and are highly committed to this profession. Some of them have produced students who have won international competitions and/or have gone on to pursue careers as professional musicians.

Teaching schedules, policies and tuition rates are determined by each teacher. You are entitled to a free, no obligation interview with a prospective teacher. We feel that the student and their parents should meet the teacher and see where the lessons are given before signing up for lessons. The student and parents should feel free to ask the teacher about their career in music and what they can expect from their study of music.
